The network adapter of laptops can cause slowness in CSI Lawyer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On new laptops, the network adapter Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 may cause significant slowness in CSI Lawyer. The adapter is generally used at least in Lenovo’s T14s Gen 4 devices and in some Dell models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometime after September 2023, that adapter has become a faulty version that is unable to efficiently run SQL query-intensive applications like CSI Lawyer. The problem only occurs when using the machine in a wireless network and disappears when the machine is connected to an Ethernet cable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the software seems to be running slowly, the user can easily check if the driver in question is the cause:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how you check if the slowness of the software is caused by a driver error<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. In the bottom bar of the machine, enter Control Panel > select it from the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter Device Manager in the search field of the window that opens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. When the device component list opens, scroll to Network Adapters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. If Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160 MHz is listed, it is the likely cause of the software slowdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Double-clicking on the adapter opens its properties, and the adapter version can be found on the Controller tab. Slowness is caused by all adapter versions starting from 23.x.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    This is how the problem can be circumvented<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    We are cooperating with Lenovo Finland to get a fix from Intel for the faulty network adapter. While waiting for it, we recommend the following as a temporary solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Primarily, you should update the network adapter to an older, working version (22.240.0), so we recommend contacting your own IT support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. You can acquire a separate WiFi adapter for the device if there is a free USB port for it. It would be good for the adapter to support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. If a wired Ethernet network is available, the easiest way is to connect the device to it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
